Online advertising not involving standard GIF and JPEG banner ads.
Information
Beyond the banner is not defined by what it is, but rather what it is
not (JPEG or GIF banners measuring 468 pixel wide by 60 pixels tall).
Standard banner formats make it easy to create, buy and sell advertisements
across the Web. Banners have become so common that some marketers equate banner
advertising with online advertising. However, this ubiquity also makes it easy
for Web surfers to ignore the banners.
